The NetEnrich Services Gateway solution consists of a centralized high-availability NSG server with several gateway devices. The NetEnrich Services Gateway is a security hardened appliance featuring a web-based administrative user interface and a controller management system.

The basic premise of our NOCs is to ensure that all data transfer and management control communications between the customer's IT and NetEnrich are secured via 128-bit SSL encryption. Similarly, all data transfer and management control communications between the NetEnrich Services Gateway appliance and NetEnrich Services Gateway servers or 3rd party hardware controllers are also secured via IPSec or SSL. This level of encryption makes it impossible for any hacker or intruder to decrypt any of the communications in the NetEnrich network, even if they gain unlawful access, an essential automation component driving IT as a Service.

Hosts and network devices are accessible only to authorized personnel and NetEnrich limits the type of access available to individual users. NetEnrich supports industry-standards based authentication that may be further supplemented with digital certificates for even stronger authentication. It provides strong username and password control for individual accounts. All transmission of passwords over the network, and their storage in the NetEnrich system is protected by layers of encryption (128-bit SSL and triple DES). Additionally digital certificates are used to authenticate 3rd party applications that integrate with NetEnrich.

All communication between the various customer sites and NetEnrich Global NOC are based on HTTP protocols and firewalled internet. The architecture also supports capabilities for teams to augment the security of the management solution by overlaying more 3rd party security and authentication layers, if needed. NetEnrich's authentication module provides APIs and integrates with other 3rd party authentication and directory servers such as LDAP, Active Directory, RADIUS, and NT Server. In larger environments where such authentication and directory services are the norm, teams can continue to use these mechanisms through integration.

NetEnrich Services Gateway is an appliance designed to provide monitoring and managing services to small IT environments. The NetEnrich Services Gateway is an enterprise-class appliance that delivers:

• Automated device discovery and on-boarding
• Device monitoring
• Secured access control
• Session recording of all activity

Automated device discovery and on-boarding

NetEnrich Services Gateway appliance comes with software that automatically initiates discovery of network switches, routers, firewalls, VoIP, and servers. This information is pushed automatically to the Global NOC via a ‘call-home’ feature. The Global NOC uses the information in the on-boarding process to get monitoring and management services started.

Device monitoring

NetEnrich Services Gateway is designed to monitor widely used servers, applications and network infrastructure via SNMP, WMI, and IPMI protocols. VPMG monitoring can be set to different time intervals (e.g. every 10 seconds, 2 minutes) depending on IT requirements.

Secured access

Access to monitored and managed devices by the NSG is by role, time-based, or by trouble ticket. Administrators performing a standard operating procedure process or full trouble shooting on a device will only see what is required for them to remediate the issue(s).

Session recording

All login sessions for problem remediation are recorded and attached to the trouble ticket the problem is associated with. This provides complete accountability for any work done on the environment and ability to restore back to the previous configuration(s).
